About Me
Daniel Smyth
Performance Coach
Coach Dan is a Level-2 CrossFit Trainer, USA Cycling Licensed Coach and BioForce Certified Conditioning Coach. He is a current doctoral researcher on theories of task-induced fatigue and a former elite football player with over 5 years of competitive coaching experience. Known for his sharp eye and focus on sports psychology, he offers the combined knowledge and experience to help both cyclists and hybrid athletes take their training to the next level.


Physiological Assessments
Muscle oxygenation devices provide a non-invasive and continuous reading of oxygen movement within the muscle capillaries. The devices employed are wearable near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) sensors, which register coloration changes in your blood. Through this data, muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2 ) is estimated in real-time and—when measured under our scientifically validated testing protocol—determines the power and heartrate thresholds at which key metabolic transitions occur. Each test comes with a full report of your physiological strengths and limiters, power and heart-rate thresholds, as well as training recommendations.
Our goal is to help you get the most out of your training by better understanding your physiological capacities. There are no skin pricks as in lactate testing and the service offers precision guidance for your next interval workout or pacing strategy.


Cycling Performance
Our one-on-one cycling performance coaching service provides co-created training plans to fit your ambitions and busy schedule. We work with both amateur athletes looking to establish effective training foundations as well as elites willing to leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of speed. Our standard package includes individualized training plans with a weekly 30-minute consult. Additional services such as in-person technique sessions, mid-week communication, and personal strength training can be purchased separately.
