The Approach
Peak performance is not just about doing more. It is about learning to respond well to what training and competition actually ask of you. I help athletes build the athletic intelligence to recognize what is missing, understand what they are already coping with skillfully, and make better decisions on the fly when fatigue, doubt, disruption, or changing conditions emerge.

The Coach
Daniel R. Smyth (DRS)
Coach Daniel R. Smyth (DRS) works with athletes who want more than harder training — they want a better understanding of performance itself.
As a doctoral researcher specializing in task-induced fatigue, Daniel studies how performance changes under physical and psychological stress, and how athletes can be trained to respond more intelligently when conditions become demanding. He uses that perspective to help athletes build not only fitness, but athletic intelligence: a stronger capacity to adapt, coordinate, and make better decisions under pressure.
His coaching brings research and practice together in a way that is both rigorous and usable. The goal is not simply to delay breakdown, but to help athletes better understand the barriers shaping performance and develop more robust ways of meeting them.
Daniel holds certifications as a Level 3 CrossFit Trainer, USA Cycling Licensed Coach, and BioForce Certified Conditioning Coach, reflecting a broad and integrated background in strength, endurance, and performance programming.
